What is Mobile Shop Billing Software?

What a mobile shop needs from billing software
Phones are expensive and individually numbered; accessories are cheap and many; and many customers come back for a repair. The software has to handle all three.
IMEI on the purchase bill
When stock arrives, type or scan the IMEI or serial of each piece on the purchase bill line. Five phones need five numbers, and a number already in your stock is refused. Serial / IMEI tracking is a Pro feature.
Pick the IMEI on the sale
On the invoice or at the POS, choose the number of the handset you are handing over. The sale needs one number per piece, so the count can never drift from what is in the box, and the number prints under the item on the customer's bill.
A register of every number
Search a number in Serial Numbers to see whether it is in stock, sold, defective or returned to the vendor, the purchase bill it came on and the invoice it left on, with dates. Useful when a customer comes back with a claim.
Returns, defects and write-offs
A phone the customer returns on a credit note comes back into stock with its number. A faulty piece can be marked defective, sent back to the vendor or written off, and a voided or deleted invoice puts its numbers back, so the register stays true without anyone editing it.
Warranty on every serial
Set warranty months on the item. Each sold number gets its warranty-until date, printed on the bill, and the Warranty Expiring report lists pieces whose warranty is about to end. Warranty works with serial tracking, on Pro.
Repair and service jobs
Open a job card for a repair: device, problem, advance and status. Add the parts and the service charge, then press Bill this job and the invoice fills itself. Repair jobs work on Free.
EMI and old-phone exchange
For a finance sale, enter the finance company and DO number as a tender on the invoice. An old phone taken in exchange goes on as a payment row and comes into stock. Both work on Free invoices, and the EMI tender also works at the counter POS on Pro.
Split payment at the counter
Part by UPI, part cash, part card: enter each amount on one POS bill and the shift total keeps each mode separate. The POS is part of Pro.

What a quotation is
One day at a mobile shop
Simple numbers, so you can see each step.
The delivery. The distributor sends 5 handsets of one model at ₹14,000 each plus 18% GST, and 20 phone covers. On the purchase bill you scan the five IMEIs into the handset line; the line will not save with four. The covers need no numbers.
The first sale. A customer picks the handset priced at ₹17,999. On the invoice you choose the item and pick its IMEI from the five in stock, add a cover at ₹299, and she pays ₹10,000 by UPI and the rest in cash. Stock now shows four handsets, the register shows the sold number against this invoice, and her bill prints the IMEI and "Warranty 12 months" with the end date under the handset, because the item carries 12 warranty months.
An EMI sale with an exchange. The next customer wants a ₹24,999 phone and brings his old one. On the invoice you enter ₹4,000 as the exchange value, and the old handset comes into stock to sell later. The remaining ₹20,999 goes on as a finance tender with the finance company's name and the DO number, so the books show that amount as owed by the finance company, not by him.
A repair. A walk-in customer has a cracked screen. You open a repair job with the device, the problem and a ₹500 advance. When the screen is fitted, you add the part and the service charge and press Bill this job: the invoice is filled and ready to save.
A wrong bill. The cashier billed the wrong colour. You void the invoice: the IMEI goes back to in stock and you bill the right handset.
Two months later. The first customer returns with a fault. You type the IMEI into Serial Numbers: sold on invoice INV-0412 on 14 October, bought on the distributor's bill of 12 October, warranty valid. You have the dates for the brand's service centre without hunting through files.

Not a fit yet if you
Need to import existing IMEIs: the item import does not read serial numbers, so existing stock gets its numbers typed in on a purchase bill or stock entry. IMEIs are scanned with a USB or Bluetooth scanner; there is no phone camera scanning. There is no native Android app and no offline mode; it runs in the browser and needs internet.
Common questions
Can VyapRise track IMEI numbers of mobile phones?
Yes, on Pro. Record each piece's IMEI or serial on the purchase bill, pick the number when you sell it on an invoice or at the POS, and look up any number in the Serial Numbers register to see its status, the bill it came on and the invoice it left on. Returns, defective pieces, returns to the vendor and write-offs are tracked too.
Does the IMEI print on the customer's bill?
Yes, on Pro (serial / IMEI tracking). The IMEI or serial numbers print under the item on the invoice, and if the item has warranty months, the warranty end date prints with them.
Can I track warranty and repair jobs?
Yes. Warranty months on the item give each sold number a warranty-until date, and the Warranty Expiring report lists pieces nearing the end; warranty works with serial tracking on Pro. Repair jobs are on Free: a job card with the device, problem, advance and status, then Bill this job fills the invoice with the parts and service charge.
Can I sell on EMI or take an old phone in exchange?
Yes, on the invoice. Enter the finance company and DO number as a tender for the financed part, and enter an old phone's exchange value as a payment row; the old device comes into stock. Both work on Free. The EMI tender also works at the counter POS, which is part of Pro.
What happens to the IMEI if I cancel a sale?
Void or delete the invoice and every number it sold goes back to in stock in the register.
Can I bill accessories by barcode in the same shop?
Yes. Items without serial tracking bill like any other item: scan the barcode with a USB or Bluetooth scanner, or search by name. Phones and accessories can be on the same GST bill.
