What is the ChatGPT and Claude connector?
Add VyapRise as a connector in ChatGPT or Claude, sign in once and press Allow, and the AI can answer from your live books: today's sales, who owes you, last month's GST.
Send it a photo of a supplier's bill and it prepares the purchase bill for you to check. Nothing is saved until you say yes to the exact preview. The AI connector is part of Pro; try it free for 7 days.
What you can ask it to do
It works through VyapRise's own screens, with your login, so it sees and does only what your role allows.
Your dashboard in the chat
Ask "Show my VyapRise dashboard for this month" and sales, purchases, receivables and GST appear as cards and charts right inside ChatGPT or Claude.
Questions about your books
Who owes me money and how much is overdue? What was my GST payable last month? Which items are low on stock? It answers from your sales summary, P&L, balance sheet, GST, ageing, stock and bank balance reports.
Purchase bill from a photo
Attach the supplier's bill and type "Add this purchase bill to VyapRise". The AI reads it, VyapRise matches the supplier and items you already have and works out the GST, and you see the full bill before anything is saved.
Invoices and quotations
"Make an invoice for Demo Traders: 10 Cotton Shirts." VyapRise prepares the invoice exactly as the invoice screen would, numbers and GST included, and shows it to you first.
Payments and expenses
Record ₹5,000 received by UPI against a customer's oldest unpaid invoices, a payment made to a supplier, or an expense. These are entries in your books only; the AI never sends or moves money.
New parties and items
Ask it to add a customer, supplier or item, and it shows the new record for your yes like everything else. A purchase bill never creates one by itself: if the supplier or an item is new, it tells you.
How to connect it
About two minutes. The address and these steps are also in VyapRise under Settings › AI Assistants.

Copy the address
In VyapRise, open Settings › AI Assistants and copy the connector address, https://api.vyaprise.com/mcp.

Add it in your AI app
Claude: Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector. ChatGPT: Settings › Apps & Connectors › Advanced › Developer mode, then Create, with OAuth as the sign-in.

Sign in and press Allow
The app opens VyapRise. You see which app is asking and for which company, tick what it may add to your books, and press Allow.

Turn it on in a chat
In a new chat, switch VyapRise on from the + or tools menu and type Hi: it greets you with today's figures and ready questions.
Built so nothing happens behind your back
An AI reading your books should be careful. These rules are enforced by VyapRise, not left to the AI.
- Nothing is saved until you say yes. You see the supplier or customer, every item, the GST and the total first.
- The preview is the real record: VyapRise checks it with the same rules as its own screen, and saves exactly what you approved.
- It uses your login inside your company, and can see and do only what your role allows.
- You choose what it may add (purchase bills, sales documents, payments, parties and items, expenses) and can switch each off at any time in Settings › AI Assistants.
- It cannot delete anything or change your settings, and it never moves money.
- A supplier bill already entered is refused, so the same bill is not booked twice.
- VyapRise never receives your bill photo, only the details your AI app reads from it.
- Disconnect any app from Settings › AI Assistants; changing your password also signs every connected app out.

VyapRise is a standard MCP connector with sign-in (OAuth). We test it with Claude and ChatGPT.

Not a fit yet if you
Want AI built into VyapRise itself: there is no in-app AI chat, the connector works through your own ChatGPT or Claude account. It does not create a supplier or item in the middle of a purchase bill (add them first, or ask it to add them as a separate step), and it does not delete, edit settings or make payments. The free ChatGPT plan cannot add connectors.
Common questions
Can ChatGPT or Claude read my VyapRise data?
Only after you add VyapRise as a connector in your AI app, sign in and press Allow. It then reads through your own login, so it sees only what your role in VyapRise allows, and you can disconnect it at any time from Settings › AI Assistants.
Can the AI save a bill without asking me?
No. Every entry is first shown to you as a preview: the party, every item, the GST and the total. It is saved only when you reply yes, and VyapRise saves exactly the preview you approved.
Does VyapRise see the photo of my bill?
No. Your AI app reads the photo on your own ChatGPT or Claude account and sends VyapRise only the bill details. VyapRise then matches the supplier and items you already have and works out the GST.
Which ChatGPT plan do I need?
A paid ChatGPT plan (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu), because the free plan cannot add connectors. Claude works on any plan on claude.ai.
Is the AI connector free?
It is part of VyapRise Pro, at ₹1,499 per year. Every new company gets 7 days of Pro free, so you can connect it and try it before you pay. The AI app's own subscription is separate.
Can the AI delete entries or send money?
No. It can read your books and prepare entries for your yes, but it cannot delete anything, change settings or move money. Payments it records are bookkeeping entries only.
