For cosmetics, perfume and beauty product shops

Cosmetics Shop Billing Software with Batch and Expiry

A cosmetics shop has hundreds of small items that expire, a lipstick in twenty shades, prices printed as MRP with GST inside, and customers who expect the offer on the poster to be on the bill.

  • Batch and expiry on every delivery
  • Earliest expiry sold first
  • Shades and sizes with their own stock
  • MRP labels and scan billing
The VyapRise till at a demo cosmetics shop: a lipstick, a Vitamin C day cream and an SPF 50 sunscreen each sold from a picked batch with its expiry date, plus kajal, shampoo at 5% GST and a perfume, beside photo tiles for makeup, skin care, hair care and fragrance.

What is Cosmetics Shop Billing Software?

VyapRise is cosmetics shop billing software that records the batch and expiry of each delivery, picks the earliest-expiring batch on the sale, lists what will expire soon, keeps every shade and size as its own stock, prints MRP labels, and applies your offers by itself.

Choose Cosmetics & beauty products when you sign up. GST-inclusive MRP pricing, brand & rack, barcode scanning on invoices and offers work on Free; batch & expiry, labels, variants and the counter POS are part of Pro, free for your first 7 days.

What a cosmetics shop needs from billing software

Expiry dates, shades, MRP prices and offers. These are the parts that cost money when they go wrong.

  • Batch and expiry

Enter the batch number, manufacturing and expiry dates on the purchase bill. On the sale the batch picker defaults to Auto (earliest expiry), shows each batch with its expiry and quantity, and marks expired batches EXPIRED. Pro.

  • What expires soon

The Expiring Stock report lists batches in stock expiring within the days you choose, expired ones included, soonest first, so you can put them on offer or return them in time. It is a report you open; there are no SMS or WhatsApp alerts. Pro.

  • Shades and sizes

Create a lipstick once with Shade as an option, or a cream with Size, and each shade or size becomes its own item with its own stock and barcode. Variants are a Pro feature.

  • MRP with GST inside

Mark an item's price as inclusive of GST, and the bill works the tax back from the MRP in paise, so the customer pays exactly the printed price. Works on every plan.

  • MRP labels

Print labels with name, barcode, MRP and the batch and expiry you type for that print run, on A4 sheets or 50×25 / 38×25 mm rolls. Print them straight from the purchase bill. Pro.

    Barcode billing
  • Scan the pack

Most cosmetics carry a manufacturer's barcode. Scan it with a USB or Bluetooth scanner and the right shade lands on the bill. Scanning works on Free invoices.

  • Offers that apply themselves

Set % or ₹ off a brand's category, chosen items or the whole bill, with dates, weekdays and hours. The offer applies by itself on invoices (Free) and at the Pro POS, and the Offers report shows how it did.

  • A counter with loyalty

The Pro POS takes scan or search, picks the batch, splits cash, UPI and card, and can give named customers loyalty points that they redeem in the bill discount. Brand and rack sit on each item too.

From delivery to counter at a cosmetics shop

One delivery, one week, simple numbers.

The delivery. The distributor sends 24 face creams in two batches and a new lipstick range in 6 shades. On the purchase bill you enter each batch with its expiry date and a quantity for each of the six lipstick shades, each its own item. Print labels opens with the MRP filled in for the packs that came without a price sticker.

At the counter. A customer buys a face cream with an MRP of ₹349, which includes 18% GST, and a lipstick in shade 12. The cream's batch is picked by itself: the one expiring in March goes before the one expiring in August. The bill shows ₹349, with the tax worked back inside it.

The weekend offer. You set 15% off one brand's category for Saturday and Sunday. It applies on every bill without the cashier remembering it.

Monday morning. You open the Expiring Stock report for the next 60 days. Eight sunscreens from an old batch expire next month, so you move them to the front and put them on offer.

A shade question. A customer asks for shade 08. The variant shows two left, so you sell one; with a minimum level set, the Stock Alerts screen shows the shade running low.

  • Cosmetics are generally taxed at 18%, though some personal-care items differ. Confirm each HSN and rate with your CA.
  • Every item keeps its own rate, so a mixed bill splits tax line by line.

  • Stock many shades and sizes and want each one counted
  • Price at MRP with GST inside and want the bill to match the sticker
  • Run brand offers and want them applied without mistakes

Not a fit yet if you

Run a salon or spa: see salon billing - appointments are a Pro module there, with a day view by staff and an online booking link you share. Expiry is a report you open, with no SMS or WhatsApp alerts. Batch & expiry needs Pro after the trial. It runs in the browser and needs internet; there is no offline mode or Play Store app.

Common questions

Can I track expiry dates of cosmetics?

Yes, on Pro. Enter the batch and expiry on the purchase bill; the sale picks the earliest-expiring batch by default and marks expired batches. The Expiring Stock report lists what expires within the days you choose. There are no SMS or WhatsApp alerts.

Can I keep stock for each shade of a lipstick?

Yes, on Pro. Create the product once with Shade as an option, and each shade becomes its own item with its own stock and barcode.

Will the bill match the MRP printed on the pack?

Yes. Mark the item's price as inclusive of GST, and VyapRise works the tax back from it, so the bill total equals the MRP. This works on every plan.

Can I print MRP labels?

Yes, on Pro. Labels carry the name, barcode and MRP, plus the batch and expiry you type for that print run, on A4 sheets or 50×25 and 38×25 mm rolls through the browser print.

Is it for beauty salons too?

It is made for shops that sell beauty products. A salon or spa should start from the Salon & spa business type, which adds appointments (Pro); there are no staff schedules.
