Finance and part payments
When a finance company pays part of the bill, enter it as a tender with the company's name and DO number; that part is owed by the finance company, not the customer. Works on Free invoices.

One sofa order, from showroom to delivery
Simple numbers, so you can follow each step.
In the showroom. A couple likes a 3-seater sofa at ₹42,000 but wants it in grey, with a centre table at ₹8,500. You make a quotation with the grey sofa variant and the table, and send them the PDF on WhatsApp. Each line carries its HSN and GST.
Two days later. They come back and confirm. You convert the quotation to a sale order and they pay ₹12,000 as an advance by UPI. You record it as a payment received from them, so their ledger shows ₹12,000 in their favour.
The delivery. The grey sofa arrives from the factory. You send the sofa and the table on a delivery challan with your tempo's number, then convert it to the invoice for ₹50,500 plus GST. Stock of the grey sofa variant drops by one, the sale order shows nothing left to deliver, and their ledger shows only the balance after the advance.
A mattress on the same day. Another customer buys a queen-size mattress and pays part through a finance company. You enter the finance company and DO number as a tender on the invoice, and the customer pays the rest in cash.
The weekend offer. You set 10% off the cushions and lamps category for Saturday and Sunday. It applies by itself on every bill, and on Monday the Offers report shows how many bills used it.
- Furniture, mattresses and decor items have different GST rates; set the HSN and rate on each item after confirming them with your CA.
- Each variant is a normal item, so it bills, stocks and takes a barcode like any other.

Common questions
Can I take an advance on a furniture order?
Yes, on Pro. Book the order on a sale order and record the advance as a payment received from the customer. It shows in their ledger, and when you bill on delivery only the balance is left to collect. For a large order delivered in stages, a payment schedule on the sale order can raise an invoice for each stage.
Can I manage sizes and colours of the same design?
Yes, on Pro. Create the design once with up to three options, such as Size and Colour, and each combination becomes its own item with its own price, stock and barcode.
Can I make a delivery challan for home delivery?
