Stationery Shop Billing Software for Books, Gifts and Toys

A stationery shop sells a single pen and a box of 10 to the same customer, a school's book list in June, and a gift that needs wrapping in five minutes. Half the items carry a barcode and half do not.

  • Scan printed barcodes, label the rest
  • Pens by the piece and the box
  • School kits on one bill line
  • Wholesale rate for schools and shops
The VyapRise till at a demo stationery shop: notebooks and wax crayons at 0% GST, ball pens and a school bag at 18%, a geometry box and water colours at 5%, beside photo tiles for school, writing, art and craft, and gifts and toys.

What is Stationery Shop Billing Software?

VyapRise is stationery shop billing software that scans the printed barcodes, prints your own labels for the rest, sells by the piece and the box from one stock, puts a school kit on one line, and gives schools and other shops a wholesale rate.

Choose Stationery, books & gifts when you sign up. Other units, brand & rack, barcode scanning on invoices and offers work on Free; barcode labels, variants, kits and the counter POS are part of Pro, free for your first 7 days.

What a stationery shop needs from billing software

Thousands of small items, a June rush and customers who buy one or a hundred.

  • Scan printed barcodes

Notebooks, books and branded pens carry an EAN or ISBN barcode. Scan it with a USB or Bluetooth scanner and the item lands on the bill. Scanning works on Free invoices.

  • Labels for the rest

Erasers, gift items and toys without a barcode get an in-store EAN-13 code and a label on A4 sheets or 50×25 / 38×25 mm rolls. Print labels straight from the purchase bill. Pro.

    Free barcode generator
  • Piece and box

Keep pens in pieces and add BOX = 10 PCS as another unit with its own box price. A box scanned by its own barcode bills the box. Stock is always in pieces. Works on every plan.

  • School kits on one line

Make a kit for a school's class list: notebooks, a geometry box, pens and covers. Sell it as one line, and the sale takes each item out of stock. Kits are a Pro feature.

  • Colours and sizes

A notebook in A4 and A5, or a toy in three colours: create it once with its options, and each combination has its own stock and barcode. Variants are a Pro feature.

  • Wholesale rates

Set a wholesale price and the quantity it starts from on the item; at the Pro POS it applies by itself. Schools and shops you supply regularly can sit on a price list (Pro), or you edit the rate on the bill.

  • Back-to-school offers

Set % or ₹ off a category, such as notebooks, for June, with dates and hours. The offer applies by itself on invoices (Free) and at the Pro POS, and the Offers report shows what it gave away.

  • Brand and rack

Keep the brand and the rack on each item, so new staff find it fast. Import your item list from Excel with both columns (up to 30 items on Free). Free.

  • A counter for the rush

The Pro POS takes scan or search, holds one bill while you serve the next, and splits cash, UPI and card on one bill. Shifts close with a Z-report.

A June morning at a stationery shop

Simple numbers, real steps.

The school list. A parent brings the Class 5 list. You have made a kit for it: 8 long notebooks, a geometry box, a pencil box and brown covers, at ₹780. You scan or pick the kit; one line goes on the bill and each item's stock drops.

Loose buys. The next customer wants 3 gel pens, a box of 10 pencils and a gift-wrap sheet. The pens and the pencil box are scanned; the gift wrap has your own label. The bill takes part by UPI and part in cash.

A shop buys in bulk. A small shop from the next village takes 100 notebooks. You set a wholesale price from 50 pieces on that notebook, so at the POS the line switches to the wholesale rate on its own.

A gift. A customer buys a toy car in red. The red variant has its own barcode, so stock of the red one drops, not the blue.

The evening count. The low-stock screen shows long notebooks below the minimum you set before the next school's list comes in.

  • Printed books, notebooks, pens and toys can all carry different GST rates, and some are exempt. Set the HSN and rate on each item after confirming them with your CA.
  • A mixed bill splits tax line by line, and an exempt item shows with no tax.

Is VyapRise right for your stationery shop?

Before you set it up, the gaps.

A good fit if you

  • Sell a mix of barcoded and unmarked items and want everything scannable
  • Sell by the piece and the box
  • Make school kits and want them on one line with the stock right
  • Supply schools or other shops at a wholesale rate

Not a fit yet if you

Need ISBN look-up that fills a book's title and publisher from the barcode: there is none; you add the item once with its barcode. Barcodes are scanned with a USB or Bluetooth scanner, not a phone camera. It runs in the browser and needs internet; there is no offline mode or Play Store app.
